Mr. Hassan cites the example of a recently installed six-building security system that controls the floors an employee can access. “Two or three years ago, companies were often concerned about controlling only certain high-security areas of their facilities. Now they may look at an entire 20,000- or 50,000-square foot building.”

Many high-end customers like urban commercial and business establishments are installing more complex and more sophisticated security alarm systems in their workplaces these days. This trend has given rise to new opportunities not only in the high-end security systems sector, but also ones opening up at the lower-end of the security alarm systems sector.

Mr. Hassan notes, for example, that Certified Security Systems has seen residential customers take a new interest in security access control systems, which was unheard of about a decade ago.
